I'm editing a film at the moment, and we need to do a rough grading
for a screening. My Mac Pro has a second graphics card which drives a
42" LCD TV for Full Screen Playback. That TV is plugged to the Mac via
its VGA input. As the Mac sees it as a third monitor, I was able to
calibrate it using a Spyder2 and make everything look right in the
Finder and other applications like Photoshop.
Now if I want to have something that will look roughly the same on any
other TV (we'll make a DVD for the screening), should I switch off the
Full Screen Playback option "Expand Luminance For Computer Displays"
or should I keep it on during my (rough) grading session?
Thanks, I'm off to the Edit Room - what do you mean it's Valentine's
day? ;-)
