The reality is that correct 3D is very hard to do. It is going to be difficult to come up with easy production methods that correctly shoot 3D in a rush.

And then there is the question of the true value added. I saw Avatar in an IMAX 3D theater. Very cool. A friend saw the 2D version and was blown away by how great the movie was. So the question is would Avatar have done as much business being in 2D? Titanic certainly didn't need 3D to make the big bucks.
