One thing I've noticed is when set to auto or video input servo ref you run an increased risk of punching a CTL like hole in the master tape if the output stalls or you hit space bar. On a glich during output the Avid spits out video garbage momentarily and this happens before it halts the record process. The deck when referencing video input proceeds to make what looks like a bad assemble edit out on the tape and you have to make an assemble edit from that point on to fix it. Not Fun.
