Could be good for business if you look at the research.

How is it that old media doesn't understand that the world has
changed. I am very willing to pay for television - it just has to be
at the same rate that the network/broadcaster would get from
advertising (not 5-8 times more) and without commercials.
That's an unmet business demand. When the demand is met by appropriate
business models then all the evidence suggests that unauthorized use
drops.
The issue is not whether some people acquire content for zero (at zero
disadvantage to the originator) but whether or not the venture is
worthwhile regardless.
So, I know my work is being pirated by people who would otherwise not
buy, but those that do buy make the effort worthwhile.
Oh, btw, there is zero actual evidence that "piracy" has ever hurt a
project. Zero. as in none. There are unsubstantiated assertions form
the RIAA/MPAA and their minions but when you look into the supposed
"research" it simply does not exist or is so shoddy that no-one should
take it seriously.
