Photoshop being converted to legal versions when the pirater finally
starts making money on it.
Is that something I can find on Wikipedia? Or is this a statistic from
Adobe? Or from kids that simply are trying to justify why they
originally didn't pay for it and now that they've used it for so long,
still don't intend to, even though they're making money from it.
And I still say that the piracy harms ME. I have to compete with this
person who doesn't have to pay for their version of the entire Adobe
Master Suite, FCS2, and MediaComposer. They don't have to charge as
much because they have no overhead for all that software.
I also don't believe that if Microsoft had it to do all over again,
that they'd say "Let's not bother coming up with rock-solid,
unbreakable security for any of our products, because stolen software
will more than make up for the loss in word of mouth." My guess is
that if they could make unhackable software, they would so that
everyone would have to pay for it. Give all that extra money to the
marketing and PR departments to create the buzz.... oh wait, this is
Microsoft, their marketing and PR departments haven't been able to
create buzz for twenty years. Never mind.
