[Avid-L2] Re: Fw: Drop Frame show length PERPLEXED

Ken,

You were told correctly. Remember DF versus NDF is a counting issue,
not a length or speed issue. The actual AMOUNT of material is the
same, whether 23.98, 29.97DF or 29.97NDF. The difference is what the
timecode duration tells you in relationship to actual clock time. If
you are concerned with actual duration for network timing, the 29.97DF
value is the correct length, and yes, it will be longer in duration as
measured by TC.
