[Avid-L2] OT: Attention to Detail?

So I go to open up the new show and check the media and a bunch of clips start in color bars.  Okay must be video after the bars.  No WTF?  Half the clips are either color bars or shuttling tape when played at normal speed.  My question is how does somebody capture 388 clips, most of which are coming in as color bars and not notice?  They had to be putting the tapes in but not ever looking at the screen of the avid.  Should I give them the benefit of the doubt and assume if it had been 389 messed up clips they would have noticed?  Meanwhile back to actually onlining the show.  Bah Humbug.
