and marketing group, and create video and audio content for
tradeshows, demo content for clients and licensees, and internal use.
Essential Job Functions
Provides audio production and postproduction for Dolby's in-house
corporate A/V production projects, with primary emphasis on high-
quality multichannel audio production. This may include tasks such as
music composition, sound design, multichannel audio production,
mixing, sound effect and music editing, music licensing, casting voice
talent, dialogue recording and editing, soundtrack layback, and
mastering.
Provides audio recording, editing, and production support for Dolby
podcasts and web-hosted audio demonstrations. Provides encoding
support of both audio and video files in all Dolby® audio and video
formats.
Supplies HD video production support for Dolby's in-house corporate A/
V production projects, with special emphasis on partner marketing
support. This may include such tasks as video ingest, editing,
exporting, and layback and file preparation for playback on the web,
portable devices, DVDs, and Blu-ray Discs™.
Provides general audio and video production-related support as needed.
This may include tasks such as working with outside production
facilities, providing camera operation assistance, and tradeshow
support.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education Required
BS degree in media production, audio engineering, or equivalent.
Five-plus years experience with audio-to-picture postproduction in a
broadcast, film, or corporate environment.
Experience with multichannel audio mixing and mastering.
Highly proficient in the use of HD non-linear video editing systems.
Experience with document management systems and procedures.
Knowledge of procedures and work flow for audio-to-picture
postproduction work.
Knowledge of procedures and work flow for HD video editing in multiple
HD formats and frame rates.
Advanced knowledge of Pro Tools audio editing, sound design, and music
supervision.
Experience with Final Cut Pro® or Avid® DS Nitris®.
Advanced experience with multichannel mixing in at least 5.1 channels
for film, television, or DVD.
