Well, I can retire happy. Never need to go to another trade show.
At Tokyo's InterBEE (think, NAB) today NewTek was there for the
first time I know of, touting their new HD Tricaster. And who
should be doing the touting, but Kiki, of whom I've read so much
about over the years.

Unfortunately, her spiel was translated by a kind of uptight
young businessman type, talking way too honorifically polite,
which kinda sorta didn't work too well. There was a small crowd
when I stumbled upon the booth, but by the time her pitch was
over I was the only one left! I was wondering if I should regress
to being a jr. high twerp again, and ask to take my picture with
her... but when the pitch was done, she turned to the guy running
her demo gear, griping about something and obviously not a happy
camper. So I took a pass...
