[Avid-L2] Re: Smoke on Mac update

A couple of things to add. From what I can tell in the Flame/Flare situation, plug-in developers aren't cutting any breaks on Sparks. If you want the plug-ins you pay the same price as with a full system.

Remember that Smoke still has very healthy in-timeline/layer-based compositing tools. I think it's called DVE in Smoke terminology. Even without Batch, it can still do a lot and do it with plenty of finesse.

Lastly, this tends to open the door to Autodesk for other products. For instance, maybe down the road, a seat of Flare on a Mac that doesn't require a full system first. Or a Mac seat of Lustre in the future.
