I've had success, due in large part to your feedback, and feedback I obtained from the DS User group on Google.
My nVidia Quadra FX Go 1400 video card is not officially supported. Avid's supported hardware list has several nVidia models ranging down to the Quadra FX Go 1500.
I took a chance and updated the drivers to the latest (Avid) vendor-supported version posted by nVidia. After doing so, I made a modification in the driver control panel to override the default 3D settings for Avid|DS. I changed the "Multi-Display/Mixed GPU Acceleration" setting from the "global" setting to "Compatibility Performance Mode."
This did the trick, as video will now play back normally, regardless of whether MOJO is attached or not. The catch is that playback fuctionality is limited to the primary display. This is minor, as my primary display resolution is set at 1920x1200/32-bit.
I actually like this, because I can have the online help files, or any other document open full-screen on the secondary monitor as I work. I don't have to keep bringing thigs in & out of the foreground.
I apprecieate everyone's feedback and willoingness to help. I hope to pay it forward someday soon.
Thanks again & best wishes.
