[Avid-L2] I'm sure you all know this . . .

I was yesterday handed a drive with some Avid media on - it had been
used as a backup and not for editing. Try as I might i could not get
MC to read the OMFI MediaFiles folder or in fact save media to it
after hiding the original MF folder (I kept getting 'File Not found'
errors). It finally dawned on me that 'Media B/U' might not be a good
name for a volume. I renamed it 'Media BU' (no slash) and all was
well. DOH. The odd thing was that I could export a QT to it from MC no
problem, even with the dodgy volume name. This was on a Mac.
