[Avid-L2] 1st Time Working with Symphony DX Nitris

I just worked with a new Symphony DX Nitris yesterday and today and
boy, am I impressed. It's everything I'd wished for 5 years ago. ;)
Today, I tested MultiCam with 3 cameras, a clean feed and a dirty
feed. All 5 played back together on the Source window without a single
stutter or skipped frame. I probably could have played more tracks if
I had them (I used the 9-picture display with only 5 pics filled). For
the first time, I could see all my cameras play at once. I'm talkin'
High-Def source material too. Very exciting. Everything is faster and
smoother. HD effects rendering is as quick as our old NewsCutters
doing SD renders. No more 'screen stalls' where the display stops
responding and windows go blank for 30 seconds. Scrolling the timeline
is wicked fast; the blue line just goes where I want and the picture
follows. And finally, I HAVEN'T CRASHED THE SYSTEM YET! (and I have
hammered on it, like I'm used to!) Interplay seems faster too. Must
be due to the faster computer.
I now love it like I used to love Media Composer.
