Editshare is Hardware and software, this is software only, you install in a
MacPro to act as a server to share media across different workstations.
I suppose it might work for small shops and projects.
I'm sure it won't replace Unity's functionality.

What about http://www.commandsoft.com/software_fibrejet.jsp Been around for a long time and works well. Not as cheap but very reliable.

Since EditShare version 6.x, "Avid Style" sharing (Unity style) has been
implemented for both Mac and PC. We've been using it since April, pretty

So, is this true Unity style bin sharing with bin locking? Or is it bin swapping with I can do over any network or even with thumb drives. Sharing media is easy. It's the Unity style project/bin sharing that I'm interested in.
