I had experiences similar to Jamie with my dual 2.5 G5. And after poking
through way too many help pages and user forums, making the same Energy
Saver changes as Jamie seemed to do the trick...until two RAM sticks started
to die. Then when I pulled those, everything was again hunky dory (but still
kinda pokey).
You can test your RAM with memtest or rember. Rember just adds a GUI to the
command-line memtest...but that¹s a good thing. Links to both here:

But really Greg, the best solution is for you to buy my G5 complete with
Kona 2 card and bob. Please?
