Re: [Avid-L2] Plasma repair?

Is there a secret combination of buttons you can press and hold before powering up to reset to factory settings?  You might see if you can find the service manual online.

Have you unplugged the AC for an extended period of time?  Not saying that will fix it but it might drain an internal power buss that might make it rethink its programming.  Perhaps a maintenance drop or whack if it's mounted to the wall.  Even if it doesn't fix it you will feel better slapping around a misbehaving piece of equipment.  Better do it before that Slap series premieres on NBC.  Maybe a little component cooler strategically sprayed into vent cracks would shed some light although I think that's a long shot.  There the local Panasonic Folks in Burbankish Area I see their logo from the 134 or 101 freeway.

One of our Panny plasma's is stuck on the 'PC' input - and fan goes into
overdrive as soon as it turns on. The remote works for most features,
but can't change input. There's no 'master reset' that I can find.

Anyone heard/seen this before? I friggin don't want to send it to
random repair service that probably can't fix it and will charge me to
tell me that.

Any tips/clues appreciated.
