So in a previous email with you I got this info from you:
MC 8 is a different beast! IT only works with 6.5.4.2 and 7.0.4.

Your current response to this thread seems to contradict what you had previously emailed me. I like your current response because then I can get the latest patches of 5.5.X and run it with my Ver 8 with symphony dongle. I will try this when I get a chance. I am going to take your current response in this thread as the correct information.

1. MC 6.5.3 was the first 6.5.x release to support the Symphony Option.
2. Backward compatibility with dongles and SW licensing are different
3. We released backwards compatible version of both 5.5.x and 6.0.x to support the Symphony Option when using a dongle ( not an activation ID)
4. They need to install 5.5.4 or higher and 6.0.4 or higher.
5. In those releases (5.5.4/6.0.4) the Symphony option is recognized and a MC 8 dongle should be able to launch MC.
