Canon DSLR uses the QuickTime plugin. You have it.
The file is bad. AMA can't properly read it.
Does the file have a generic QuickTime icon with the top corner turned (no
thumbnail preview)? If that's the case, its corrupt.
Digital Rebellion has a QuickTime repair utility as part of their Pro
Maintenance Suite. I can't vouch for it, as I have never used it, but if
the guy that sent it to you is desperate, it might be worth a shot.
