OK, so one of my clients has 3 FCP 7 edit bays, attached to a final
share system. These bays are used for fast-turnaround network promos.
The HDCAM master split track comes in, we capture it to the final
share. Then, all 3 bays are cutting from the same footage to turn
around promos, passing timelines back and forth. We are all using
KONA 3 cards to monitor and color correct as we work on Flanders
monitors via HDSDI. When the cut is approved, we export an OMF to send
to LA for mix. We layback the mix and all the stems to a final
timeline, and master back to the HDCAM SR deck, sending out the final
mix to ch. 1&2, and the rest of the stems to 4,5,6,7,8. Then we ship
the tape. All in FCP 7. Tell me, will this same scenario work all in
FCP-X, without any wacky work-arounds?

10.0.3 was 9 months ago. There have been three updates since then. You
should probably read my blog article on 10.0.6 to get a feel for what
else has changed.
Almost always when someone makes that sort of blanket dismissal they're
working on outdated knowledge, which is apparently the case here if
10.0.3 is news.
