[Avid-L2] OS Change from 10.5.X to 10.6.8 causing disk initialize Prompt?

 

I put in a clean install extra startup disk with OS 10.6.8 to one of our media composer stations that has been running 3.1.3 on OS 10.5.x.  When I boot to the 10.6.8 drive I get initialize or eject disk prompts with about 4 windows.  The system is hooked fibre to our recently installed media net 5.  This new startup disk only has the connection manager for ethernet installed 5.2 from our old ethernet avid.  Once I eject the windows I see all the internal drives.  Are these prompts likely because fibre manager has not been installed on the system?  I would think that might be it but I can't experiment on the system right now because it is in use running the normal startup drive.  TIA
