[Avid-L2] Capture tool crashing when video selected

 

Hi All,

It's been a while since I was up here. I have for the first time in a while tried to load some footage from a newer Digi deck. It's an M2000 into our Symphony v5.5.3. Every time I enter tape name and hit the source video button in the capture tool I get the spinning beach ball. I've changed user settings messed with the 9pin input on the deck and I still can't get the system to stop crashing.

My deck control is running through an AJA kona LHi.

I never really understood the difference between "Select sources" and "Select media relatives". How are they different and in what cases do you determine which to use?
