I'm running MC v6 on Lion (10.7.2).
And I'm with you John, this change over to 64 bit and Lion is a costly one for software. I still haven't migrated fully. That's going to be a while I think. I'm still using my 10.6.x system for everything other than the Adobe apps (I'm on CS5) and MC 6.
Also, I think I just read that Adobe will have some incentives for CS3 and CS4 owners when CS6 comes out (I'm guessing CS6 in May or June).
