[Avid-L2] Re: Project background color setting POSSIBLE FR: MAKE IT LIKE IT USED TO BE

Are you running Lion? Are you on a MBP or a MacPro? And Steve you are right they suggest Lion for Ver. 6 but I think there are quite a few who have had success with OS 10.6.8. I believe I read from someone from Avid, perhaps Doug, that 10.6.8 isn't supported but they really didn't know that it wouldn't work. So buyer beware. Right now I'm not ready to jump to Lion for bugs I've read about with Adobe CS4 etc.... I know it's inevitable but having had to update my sapphire when I went to 10.6 from 10.5 for no other reason than sapphire 2 wouldn't install on 10.5 so I had to upgrade to sapphire 3 I'm leery of Lion. As it is I'll have to spend $849.00 to upgrade sapphire to 64 bit when I commit to Ver. 6.

Menu item is there, the color palette appears, and even the alt/opt trick still works . . . it's just that the color doesn't apply itself. A very small bug, I know . . .

Often, in the rush and chaotic mess of bins on the desktop, the difference between a Bin and the Project window is hard to see. In order to find the Project window easier, I like to give it a subtle color difference so that it's easy to distinguish it from the surrounding bins. (I know that I can do command-9, command-apostrophe to call up and reposition my project window. And if YOU didn't know that, well, happy tip!)

I tried selecting the Project window and going to the Edit menu, but there's no "background color" choice, like with a Bin. I also tried a contextual click on the Project window with no luck.

But I want the functionality to change the color of a Project window just like a bin, which they seem to have lost with the change in behavior. This used to be a USER setting, I think, so that all of my future Project Windows in new projects were colored the same way.
