Won't the answer to the demise of MacPro be "Hackintosh"?
Or possibly Apple will allow high-end third party clone niche to exist?
I could live with working on a PC, I guess, but there's a lot of software I'd have to pay to move over.
On the other end of things, I do love my 17" MBP (same battery for ~3years+ with only occasional full drain).
It's still at 83% "health" according to the iStatPro widget (FWIW).
