I can say, however, that I LOVE the way Premier deals with stills, and
the ability to use tons of plug ins. This project had a bunch of stills
in it. If I have stills in a project now days, I frequently use Premier
and then export a Quicktime for Avid, rather then struggling with the
horrid Pan and Scan plug in or other various work arounds.
I haven't tried CS5 yet. I don't have the specs on the box I was
working on, but it was about 3 years old, Windows XP 64bit, Quad core
processor, 8 gigs of ram, and a raid 5 drive. The graphics card is a
GForce 9800. Should have had enough horsepower.
The sequence I was working on was in fact 35 minutes long. I ended up
breaking it into 4 "sub sequences" to get decent response time on the
interface.
