[Avid-L2] Re: Unity Bin .lck file

 

You've described exactly how bin lock files are supposed to work- First in gets write, others get read only, otherwise you can destabilize the bin.

The foulup with lock files only exists when the first "write" client doesn't delete the lock file when it closes the bin- as it is supposed to. You only should delete a lock file if it's orphaned. Deleting a legitimate lock file will cause a boatload of problems.
