I think its less dramatic than that. Apple aim high and mess up each new launch and come godd by the third point release. Just be in less of a rush to upgrade and life is calm.

That thought flashed through my head too John, after seeing my admin account utterly corrupted by El Crapitan , despite its promise of improved permissions handling.
Used to be, that on the PC platform you would clean install the os every 2 years due to corruption or funky updates. The Mac was a much safer bet.
Now I'm starting to worry that it's the other way around.
I'm realistic that moving to the cloud will continue to present challenges for both os's and their apps, but until OS X 10.11, I thought apple had a better handle on things.

Sent via iMobileIt's not just planned obsolescence it's a completely unworkable land of force migrations creating forced incompatibilities. It's starting to make me want to go back to the PC symphony although that landscape seems to be changing all the time these days too.
I'd appreciate hearing if my feeling of the PC side of software being better in this regard. My gut says this is true but I've been so mac centric at work my PC chops aren't particularly current.
