Yup Resolve Smart Cache is great. We have it set to a pair of RAID 0 500GB SSD drives. Its really effective.
What really shows how far behind Avid is in levering performance is comparing Resolve and Symphony on our finishing Z820. Resolve chews through 4K content. Symphony no way.
We had all hoped for a new playback engine for MC with the move to 4K but if its new its not great.
