I see this a lot with multiple students working in our labs, with multiple Mac accouts. We usually trash the AMA Management folder and it comes back to life. I hadn't considered the permissions aspect.

Coincidentally, I was told about this behaviour by a customer yesterday. Are you putting the AMA material on the internal hard drive of the Mac or an external drive? If external, how is it connected?Rupert Watson+44 7787 554801www.root6.comFrom: Avid-L2@yahoogroups.com [mailto:Avid-L2@yahoogroups.com]

Subject: [Avid-L2] AMA not working issueHit an issue on several of our newly updated Mac systems where AMA linking wouldn't work. No error messages. No console messages. It just would't work. After some fun troubleshooting I found the issue was a folder whose permissions got changed from Read / write for everyone to just read. Changing it back fixes the issue. Not sure if it happened with the update or with cloning the drive prior to updating. The folder is here:Users/Shared/AvidMediaComposer/AMA Management/AMA Metadata FoldersVisit this site for our latest news and views.Registered in the UK at: 4 Wardour Mews, London W1F 8AJTel: +44 (0) 20 7437 6052Company No. 03433253
