So I have now activated all my support subscriptions. In the process of purchasing the support Avid asked for my dongle info which I gave them. On my media composer activation there was a link to click on to get a dongle updater file and it worked. Now I have activated my 2 symphony crossgrades but neither one shows a link for a dongle updater file. In the past I use to "trade in" my activation code to get an updater file but I assume the new process is like I did with my media composer. I guess I will have to contact the activation support to get this straightened out. I think my biggest misunderstanding with the new process is that when you apply your download code or activation number it does not immediately activate, it has to go through a CS review before it's approved. This seems to take a business day so my Friday night activation didn't get approved until Monday. Perhaps during the business week the approval is quicker. Still not sure why I didn't get a symphony dongle updater file link but more will be revealed.
