But, would all these high-end companies buy Avid storage and DAM solutions without the editing software to play nice with it? That's what makes me think we'll see improvements in MC as we move along. But what do I know?

It's pretty obvious that Avid is going to focus even more on the big players.  If they get a few small guys and small shops along the way, well that's an added benefit.  But my feeling is that Avid has given up on the smaller shops.  Big iron =  potential (and needed) profit.  Louie's a finance guy, not an editor.  Makes perfect sense for where the company is at right now.  And Terry, you predicted this several years ago.


Terry/Job - you guys have something to do with the ACA correct (hopefully they did not make you pay the for that privilege)?  Perhaps you can ask the grand-poobahs what this all means for the smaller guy going forward (I bet I can predict what the corporate answer will be).
