Sound guys who insist on OMF are either running extremely antiquated versions of software or just idiots. Pro Tools has been able to import AAF since before 2005.Exporting AAF - check the box that says AAF Edit Protocol and you'll get around the 2GB limit. Or if you're exporting to a FAT32 drive, don't.

So I always feel that as much as I love my Avid, when it comes to interacting with the rest of the world, i am on an island. Everyone around me is on FCP or Premiere so I often get these projects or have to send to them. And its frustrating my only option is AAF. I still get sound guys insisting on OMF files or nothing.
AAF export is never easy for me. Always issues. Odd errors etc. But how do you get around the dreaded 2Gig file warning I just got at the end of my export? Is there a way around that?
thanks
