I'll try the Paint Fx trick. I hadn't thought about the resizing (of some, but not all of the clips) trap.

Don't waste your time rendering the Boris pixel fix, just drop a paint effect on, draw a small circle round the pixel whilst zoomed in and set it to Median. Boom, job done.
Also, beware if dropping it on a higher track that if you've applied any resizing to shots below, the pixel will not be in the same place anymore and so won't be fixed.
