I put in the SSD myself. It's NOT hard. I also put in the RAM. Definitely get up to 16gigs of RAM.

The SSD is really more about initial launch speed from powered down.

I think the RAM is most of it. MC7 is a MINIMUM of 8gigs of RAM, so if you have 4gigs, you're lucky if you can boot up at all.

I have MC7 on a MBP and it boots up in 32 seconds.
