One of the first things I did on the new iMac was install FCP 7 suite. I had thought that automatically installs QT 7 Pro but it doesn't appear to have been installed. Have I been mistaken about the QT install with FCP? Does the FCP install just upgrade an existing QT 7 to Pro. I thought it would install QT 7 Pro as part of the suite. Is it even possible to install QT 7 from a previous 10.6 install disk? I've seen a process on how to install from an extra part of the 10.6 OS install disk but I'm trying to find out if that's still possible on OS 10.8.2, Cross posting to both Avid and FCP world
