Because my Avid SNDX 4.0.5 Mac seems to like to hang on exporting QT self contained movies I've adopted exporting ref movies and using QT Pro to make the self contained movie and that seems less crash prone. I'm trying to access the QT ref movie on my edit computer from my MBP over the ethernet network and it seems to be working. At first I had to find the black media for filler but once I found that on the edit computer everything seems to be working correctly. Curious why it finds all the other referenced media but not Avids internal black media. I don't get this error when I launch the ref movie on my edit computer so it finds it there. I know ref movies are iffy over a network but does somebody with more IT chops and QT savvy have a hint about this?
