What's the same-as-source same as? Animation codec is 8-bit, and sometimes not food for video. Plus, it's a transcode from whatever your working format is- so use the same-as... Assuming it actually is.

Your encoding software is probably a bigger deal here than the intermediary codec... Regardless, it's a short piece. Try it both ways, watch the DVD in a few different systems, and pick the winner. There's a good chance you won't be able to tell them apart.
