You might want to check out our EditShare Storage, Ark and Flow products. These are all very nicely integrated and might be exactly what you are looking for. If you want to rewrap or transcode your P2 media we can do that. We make proxy files in a variety of formats during or after file-ingest. We archive to disk or LTO5 tapes. Through the Flow browser, you can search for and browse clips from the archive, do simple storyboarding with the proxy clips, and retrieve the high-resolution files you need. And of course, you can also have editing from central storage.
We do require at least one server but we start out at very reasonable prices, and depending on what your goals are -- and the number of users -- you might be able to accomplish your goals with a fairly small system.
If you are interested and want some more information, please give me a call or drop me a line. Where are you located?
