The answer is yes and no. What version of MC are you on? I had a big run-in with Avid earlier this year as I discovered that deck control and shuttling and logging in particular is very flaky indeed with a DSR-45 on a Mac with MC.5x or 5.5.x. Rock solid in MC v4.x. Loads of 'Force Quits'. They acknowledged it as a bug (after months of emails) and I've head nothing since. Absolutely fine with FCP7 and Premiere Pro CS5. OK with capturing without timecode.
With Best Wishes,
Roger Shufflebottom
