The simplest way is convert to NTSC 4:3 with a 16:9 letterbox then overlay a 1:85 letterbox over the 16:9 letterbox. Lining up to a framing chart, or 1:85 reticle generator helps if you have one so you may have to move the image a little.
The difference between 1:77 & 1:85 is something like 3 scan lines top and bottom not a huge change but we must maintain the DP's artistic integrity.
