Yes that's correct

Media composer will just ignore the AJA DS will ignore the Media Composer hardware I/O
For the DS you can use Kona LHe if you just want monitoring or the full Kona 3 if you want full I/O
But I understand there is improved Media Composer up DS and DS back to MC workflows so you can use DS as a sort of MC plugin (something I predicted 3years ago)
