[Avid-L2] Make Mac remember it has 2 monitors

So, I got a couple of DVI switches for my workstations. One for the
left monitor and one for the right. So I can more easily switch
between the FCP system, the MC system, and the WinPC. Switching
inputs on the monitors was lame, or so I thought. Now when I switch
from one system to the other the Macs keep forgetting that they are
connected to 2 monitors. They automatically switch to single monitor
and windows get all rearranged and sometime one of them just doesn't
sense the right monitor when I switch back to it. I've seen these
items called EDID emulators which may solve the problem, but I was
wondering if there was something I could do from the Terminal that
would force the Macs to stay in two monitor mode even if they were not
connected to any monitors at all.

Thanks,
Jay
