I do this same thing, on two different systems, and it works fine. The
only thing that I do different is that I encode in TMPG Encoder. You can
download a trial version, and it's pretty cheap and quick, but with good
quality.
Another thought...when you encode in Squeeze, are you making a single
.mpg file or separate audio and video files? Also, does squeeze have
rules about how to name the files? (.mpg or .m2v) Whatever way you're
working, try it the other way.
