[Avid-L2] Re: OT: The sad state of perceived value of editorial.

This really isn't about the perceived value of an editor at all. Unfortunately this is all too typical of a lot of the stuff floating around related to the RED camera. It's one of the things that gives RED owners a bad name. What they are really asking for is not only someone to clean up the movie, but also to do true finishing, which - on a RED project - is pretty daunting if you don't know what you are doing. The bottom line is this filmmaker has no money and is trying to dangle the carrot of a RED project so someone will bite.
