Re: [Avid-L2] Audio Stems Time Code Wavs read differently in Avid vs. Wave Agent?

So I just upgraded to the latest  version of QT Change and I found if I manually choose setup 23.976 (thanks for not calling it 23.98) I get the correct time code reading.  I found in Wave Agent when I bring the wav in the frame rate is blank and the time code is incorrect but if I use the pull down menu and set it to manually set Frame Rate to 23.97 ND with preserve start TC unchecked it reads the correct start time code.  The Wave Agent GUI is a bit weird in that changes only happen after toggling the Frame Rate.  I guess that's just the way it works

I also found in the new QT change if I choose setup same as source it thinks the wav is 25FPS and has the wrong time code but if I then choose setup 23.976 it changes to the correct time code.  Does this indicate that the wav files out of ProTools are some how flagged internally as 25FPS or is there no metadata that dictates Frame Rate in the ProTools exported wav files and QT change is just defaulting to 25?

I like the new QT Change and have always appreciated the ability to change start time codes in QT .movs.  There are many more features but that one alone has saved my arse many a time well worth the upgrade for me and it only took two minutes to get it up and registered.
