[Avid-L2] downgrade trouble

Installed latest MC to test (not the beta), on both a Win and Mac.

Now I'm trying to go back to 8.something, but on both Win and Mac MC refuses to start.

On Win, it gives a acces violation, on Mac 'an unexpected error'

Trashed settings / mc state, but it happens very short after startup.

Any ideas?
