Re: [Avid-L2] Trim/Sync Lock Behaviour In 8.5.3

Is this really out-of-sync (audio and video from same clip out) or the stuff that the sync locks normally prevent such as non-related items down the timeline slipping?

Subject: [Avid-L2] Trim/Sync Lock Behaviour In 8.5.3

Afternoon All,

I've been working on MC8.5.3 on a PC at an edit facility for the past couple of weeks, and I'm noticing some unusual and time-costly behaviour where my video and audio on the timeline are slipping out of line with one another, regardless of what my sync lock buttons are doing on the timeline.

I'm not sure what it is that's causing it to happen when I'm cutting, but I think it's probably to do with me slipping tracks in the trim tool - it's usually about five or ten minutes after I've been doing something in there that I notice that the rest of the timeline's slipped out of sync.

Anyone had any experience of this - it's really frustrating.

Best wishes,
Christopher
