[Avid-L2] Re: Resolve 12.5

In my own case, when it comes to teaching folks going into production and post, I've settle on Premiere Pro. Its structure makes for an easy transition to most other track-based NLEs. In my market (Florida), it's also the dominant NLE a student would encounter.

Personally, I would not be teaching Media Composer to students who want to be gainfully employed in the editorial field, unless they have specifically targeted a segment of the industry that uses that application.  Go to the post production section of any job-related website and you'll see 30-40 jobs requiring expertise in a non-Media Composer application -- for every Media Composer-based job.  Of course, you likely won't see any jobs stipulating that the project must be edited on Resolve either.
