Your computer has Open GL so this shouldn't be an issue. Boris has a good PDF on how Open GL works with Boris Red (Avid FX) and there may be some hints in there for you.

It was best card available, and I think
it is supposed to support Open GL.
Hardware is not my strong suit.
So, the Avid FX Open GL filters are greyed out
when I try to use them. I have poked around the settings
but nothing I do gets them working.
This is a pain, as I bring projects home from work, where we have
an HP Z440, and they run fine. Can't even open them at home, though.
Does anyone know what piece of the puzzle I am missing?
I posted on both Avid and CC forums with no responses.
I am hoping the obvious depth of expertise here
may shed some light.
Thanks!
I run MC 8.4.2 on my late 2013 27" iMac.
