I went through the same process of sad discovery, except I ended up being somehow directed to a web page that wanted me to actually purchase the app. Needless to say, I elected not to.

So I download 2.5, take out 2 and it is now in AVX2 folder. But it runs in demo mode. It does not function fully as it should. I do get a NewBlue app mgr window with a list of my New Blue fx but for 2.5 is has an activate button. When I click it, nothing happens. It does say "This product is licensed through Avid".
So what is the process to activate 2.5 or is it really not working or included with 8.5?
